Here is a link to a website which is a great source of triathlon training information

Make sure you check out the training programs they created for run focus, bike focus or swim focus, different type of training for those who wants to improve any particular part of the trainings. They also have programs for different type of Tri events, set training scheduled for 16 to 20 weeks training programs etc.  

Their website gives will give you a month by month detailed breakdown of different types of programs

Registration Process for Triathlon Events

 
Anyone wants to sign up for triathlon event can contact the pool office
We generally will need below information for us to assist you signing up for events:
  1. JTU registration number (Japan Triathlon Unity)
  2. Name / Address / Age / Cell phone no.
  3. Sign on written pledge (form posted on events websites)
  4. Which type of distance you would like to sign-up
*Events’ fees and registration process can differ; therefore we might need further information in addition to information above.

We will be having a few tri members ( Spearheaded by Becky  ) biking and running this Saturday around the palace.
We're meeting at 6:45 at the palace where the end of sakurada dori.

Social Gathering Meeting on March 31

Hope everyone’s enjoying beautiful sunshine day today.

It’s a perfect day for training! Nice breezing outside to run and bike, Sky pool isn’t crowded as well.

 

This is about our upcoming Social event.

Once a month we will be holding social gathering meeting day.

As the schedule, next week Sunday March 31st, we’ll be holding our first social gathering meeting.

Spring is here!

Have you been outside lately? The weather is perfect for some outdorr training! The temperature has been on the up and the plum trees are starting to bloom around the city!
Please be careful of catching colds at this time since the temperature may suddenly drop again starting next week. But in the mean time enjoy this little piece of spring in the air!

In this article it says avoid early morning runs when pollen concentration is high. However in a separate Japanese article it states that pollen concentration is lower in the mornings here in Japan.

Try and run eary in the morning as the pollen concentration is lower.
Wear sunglasses and mask (yes, it may look weird, but if you suffer from pollen allergies it may help)

We've had a few members stopping by to log their distances at the Pool Offices after training at the pool. If you are training at the Fitness Center, you can stop by their counter and log your distance on the treadmill or on the bikes.
